Beef Chorizo – Mexican Recipe – CookingWithAlia – Episode 299


My friend Ruben is sharing with us his family recipe on how to make Mexican Chorizo at home!
Ingredients for the Meat
1 pound (500 grams) of beef (or other types of meat: lamb, chicken, etc.)
Apple vinegar (or other type of vinegar)
1/2 teaspoon of salt
Ingredients for the Marinade:
3 large ancho chilis (dried poblano peppers or other dried red peppers)
4-5 garlic cloves (chopped)
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
3 whole cloves
Apple vinegar (or other type of vinegar)

  2.  in my grocery store they have a lot of Mexican peppers, they are dried already in a package. do I just put the dried pepper straight from the package to the blender? thanks

  3. Well spanish chorizo is far from mexican chorizo, they are different recipes to make them, for example we don't use vinegar. And we have chorizo to eat it raw or chorizo to cook it. Thanks for this recipe but I think I wouldn't like it because vinegar.
