My Virgin Kitchen is a YouTube channel I created when I wanted to teach myself how to cook and create a video diary of the journey https://www.youtube.com/user/myvirginkitchen. I have never had a professional lesson & am just your every day chap attempting recipes to inspire you guys to try too. Most uploads are how to recipe cooking videos, but some fun is had too on Sunday Funday when anything goes, including giant foods, mini foods, taste testing foods sent from around the World, food gadgets and many more. Any requests for recipes / cool stuff you’ve seen let me know! I try my best to reply to as many comments as possible, but please interact with eachother and be respectful 🙂

  1. fun fact for you Stonker or stonking etc where I am from means erection lol so everytime I hear you say it,I cannot help but laugh lol but thanks for the recipe cannot to try it as my husband loves fisherman's pie :)

  2. Barry I know you probably know this but when making the roux, just add enough milk to make a smooth paste at first, then add the rest of the milk. You won't get any lumps in it at all then so you don't have to spend the time getting them out.

  3. you got the toddler seal of approval; my 2 year old demolished quite a big bowl whilst making 'mmm' noises. She can be pretty fussy, too. Oh, and I can't cook to save my life, so the fact that I managed this is testament to a great tutorial :)

  4. Looks delicious Barry! I'd love to see more recipes in this series, especially some no-bake/microwave-only recipes (I don't have a kitchen in my dorm room, but I could definitely see myself trying this recipe out back home!)
