This delicious combination of garlic and roasted asparagus is the perfect nutritious side for chicken, steak or any protein of your choice! Even better, you can save the leftovers for an easy vegetable option throughout the week.

Ingredients:
Asparagus
1 lb (about 15-20 spears)
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 tbsp
Fresh Garlic Cloves
4-6
Garlic Powder
To taste (approximately 1 tbsp)
Black Pepper
To taste (approximately 1 tbsp)

Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil.
Trim bottom 1/2 inch of asparagus spears.
Place trimmed spears on cookie sheet.
Drizzle olive oil over asparagus.
Sprinkle minced garlic, garlic powder and black pepper over asparagus.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, flip asparagus at 10 minutes.
Bake until asparagus and garlic are lightly browned.

  1. Made this for the first time with gluten free salmon patties. The whole thing was awesome, and my house reeks of garlic….which should keep Nosferatu at bay. Video was a bit long. Maybe just edit it down and loosen up a bit. Other than that I'm subscribing.

  2. Thanks. Very helpful video. And my asparagus turned out pretty tasty, even though I didn't have fresh garlic and only used garlic powder. And clean up was indeed a breeze. Once it was on my plate, I tried sprinkling a little Kraft grated parmesan cheese on top as well… which I believe improved the appearance a bit and also tasted pretty good. You should try that. You obviously enjoy cooking… so thanks for sharing how you cook.

Too much talk, too much time wasted on so simple thing to do…anybody can do that demo more effectively in less than 3 minutes…we can see what you are doing and do not have to describe them one by one……that is why there is video lady !!!!….real creepy lady who clearly wants attention only……i rate you -0 !!!!!!

  4. put garlic cloves in a glass jar with a top and shake the shit out of it. the peels will fall off. takes 10 seconds. buy a $5 garlic mincer. takes 10 seconds. also no need for garlic powder when youre using minced garlic lol.

In fact, there are many videos on youtube and they are all good but this is my best. Please never consider those negative minds. Keep it up.   6. Ok I will take my words back, she can be whatever she wants to be but POR FAVOR not in the kitchen, she has the mos beautiful professional Chef´s knife, the best of everything there. Now garlic is cut first by the sides and then you peel it off ( YOU DO NOT SMASH IT) then you cut it at the size you need for your particular dish… In this case finely chopped and you add it at the VERY end of your asparagus cooking time.

    The salt must be added only by the person eating it !
