  1. I see you washed and sorted your beans. Did you soak them or just rinse, sort and add to the pot? Your beans didn't break open and that is what I would like to achieve. You have a lovely voice!

  2. I have some in the slow cooker right now. Instead of the seasoning salt I use accent, and also a pinch of brown sugar, and black pepper. It's smelling so good in here tonight. lol

  3. Thank you for your recipe.  I did not know that you have to cook ham hocks for three hours.  The dish looks wonderful.  But, how do eat the ham hocks when they are on the plate?  This may sound like a silly question, but I am cooking for some elderly patients at home who can't cook more than a sandwich or snack for themselves.  Would they want the meat removed from the hock or should I serve it as a meat dish  as is ?  Thanks for your time to answer.  Jo Ann

  4. Delicious! My Mom who is passed away made this on cold winter nights. The only difference is that she added butter to her broth and called them butter beans. She would serve over rice or with some fried potatoes and red onion. Cook it up, Girl! I would LOVE to see more traditional southern home cooking that our parents and grandparents made! God Bless, You!

  5. thank you for your videos & recipes! They make me happy. I enjoy the into/music and how you bring the food together without all the extra stuff that could make a video drag on. straight to the point and effective! I would LOVE to see you with your own cooking show on tv! Bless you.
