Sweet Chili Tempeh

1 tbsp sweet chili sauce
1 tbsp tahini
1/2 tbsp soy sauce
1 cup diced tempeh, or firm tofu

Combine sweet chili sauce, tahini paste, and soy sauce in a bowl. Then gently fold in tempeh or tofu. Toss to coat and bake on a for 10-15 minutes at 375 or until golden brown and slightly crispy.

Note: If using tofu, gently squeeze the excess water out before dicing. Learned this trick from Vegan Family TV. Check them out! I love them 🙂 Ps. Their kids also have a channel, and it’s possibly the cutest thing ever. Check it out and tell them I sent you!

Oil-Free “Refried” Black Beans

1 can black beans, rinsed and drained
3 heaping tbsp fresh salsa
1 tbsp taco seasoning

Blend until smooth. Serve warm in burritos, on baked potatoes, and a dip for veggies and tortilla chips, or as a high protein spread on sandwiches.

  1. Another great use for the broccoli slaw is to make like a creamy slaw, and I use veganaise, but I think thinned tahini would be great too for whole food diet, but I take the broccoli slaw, I add a bit of veganaise, spices, dried cranberries or cherries and slivered almonds…omg it is sooooo good!!! the crunch yum!

  2. OMG!!!!!!! I just made your caprese sandwich and it's literally the BEST sandwich I've ever made in my life since going vegan! I smashed the avocado with pink salt, pepper, nutritional yeast & a pinch of red pepper flakes. SO good!!!! 😍

  3. I liked your video, and hope to see all of them. It sounds like your rushing though, but I understand if you are just wasn't sure. If you can include how much you spent that would be good, even just a flash of the receipt would be cool.

  4. Trader Joe's is so my hero!!! Love this store for so many reasons and I can't thank them enough for the help this week. I didn't have a lot of money and they actually helped me get what I needed with the little money I had.

  5. Great video! Your tahini looks so smooth and creamy! I had read flipping the jar over every now and then helps keep it from getting lumpy but I haven't seen much of an improvement. Mine is lumpy and hard to stir. Do you keep yours in the fridge or pantry?
